Elio Perrone
Moscato d’Asti DOCG and Barbera d’Asti – Piedmont at its most aromatic.
In 1989, Stefano Perrone took over the family winery in Castiglione Tinella – the heart of Moscato d’Asti DOCG – from his father Elio. Together with his wife Giulia, he cultivates 8.5 hectares on two different soil types: around the main house, the Moscato terraces of Castiglione Tinella, and in Isola d’Asti, the Barbera d’Asti. No artificial fertilizers, no pesticides – instead, low yields and harvesting at the right moment. The result: aromatic sweet wines and red wines from Piedmont that translate four generations of wine knowledge into every bottle.
