Weingut Löwenthal is young – founded in 2022 in Eschbach on the Southern Wine Route, with the first wines released in 2023. But young here means consistent: The small Palatinate team has decided to cultivate Burgundy varieties – Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Chardonnay – in such a way that the terroir of the Palatinate speaks, not the label. Already with the first vintage: a star in the Falstaff Wine Guide 2025, 90 points for the Pinot Blanc. Palatinate white wines at a level that is remarkable for such a young winery – and that clearly stands out from the crowd.
